About

With reilo, we give 500 million smallholder farmers in the Global South access to productive capital from local banks. Currently, 80% can't access any type of loan, because lending to farmers is too risky and they can't provide bankable collateral. But farmers do own billions in unrealized nature capital. reilo is a nature fintech platform that turns future payments for nature services - such as forest and biodiversity restoration and biochar carbon removals - into bankable collateral for smallholder loans, integrated directly into legacy banking systems. This gives banks access to a $240 billion market while simultaneously driving climate and biodiversity impact at scale.
